Research and Development Department

Research has always been one of the cornerstones of ECONATUR LABORATORIES. Numerous research projects on the agricultural sector have been carried out since its foundation in 1999.

Initially, the research was conducted on the development of fertilizers and biostimulants. Today, ECONATUR LABORATORIES offers more than 48 products adaptable to different situations and cultures.

The success of fertilizing and biostimulant products, increased the demand for fortifiers against plagues and diseases. These powerful, effective and stable formulations made from vegetal, mineral or microbial sources, promote and assure the crops' health.

This research guarantees the quality and effectiveness of our products and has been checked as well by several independent Research Centres and Universities such as:

  • CIFA Córdoba: Organihum Plus
  • Etifa: Organihum Naturtrips
  • University of Córdoba: Organihum Herbitec

Current investigation lines

Fortifiers against diseases:

  • Biofungicides: they utilize live organisms as pesticides, to prevent or cure fungal or bacterial infections.
  • Allelopathies: detrimental or beneficial effects exerted by plants on other organisms, through the chemical compounds secreted by them.
These interactions can be used as repellents, attractants and chemical inhibitors of phytopathogen microorganisms.

Herbicides

  • Allelopathies: detrimental or beneficial effects exerted by plants on other organisms, through the chemical compounds secreted by them.
These interactions can be used as chemical inhibitors for other plant’s development or growth.

Hydroponic

  • Specific formulations: they provide all the necessary nutrients for the optimal growth of crops in hydroponic systems. pH regulators, disincrustants, etc.

Green spaces

  • Specific formulations: they provide all the necessary nutrients for the optimal growth of grass and ornamentals . Specific fortificants against plagues and diseases.
